Description
Some time ago I came to terms with two facts: my home is small, and my printer is very large. I must let it go.This is a professional photo printer that can produce gallery-quality prints that are up to 24" on the short edge. It has eight ink cartridges. It's an older unit, and I can vouch for its present functionality; I have printed several test prints and noticed no flaws or artifacts like streaking or banding.
Any interested buyer should be familiar with the proper ways to maintain pigment-ink printers. You must exercise it regularly, ideally with at least one decently sized print a month (or an auto nozzle check at minimum), or the print head can clog. Clearing clogs wastes expensive ink in cleaning cycles, and if they're allowed to sit long enough it can be permanent.
See attached for photos of the printer, and flatbed scans of the clean nozzle check and a test image.
The printer is in Forest Knolls. It will need to go down a flight of stairs, and you will either need to help me carry it down or bring a helper.
It weighs 135 pounds; you'll need a truck, or an enclosed vehicle with a flat cargo area. The printer measures 46" wide, 21" tall, and 18" deep. The stand (whose use is optional; the printer has rubber feet) adds 25" of height.
The printer is currently loaded with Photo Black ink. You'll need to load it with Photo Black and print on gloss or semi-gloss paper, or obtain a Black Ink Conversion Kit (inexpensive on eBay) to switch it over to Matte Black.
This printer has, according to the nozzle check sheet, printed 7,921ml of ink and 60,909cm of paper during its lifetime.
In addition to the printer, I'll throw in:
the rolling stand pictured
a fabric print catcher (uncertain how to hook it up, I never used it)
a roll of Epson Enhanced Matte
a roll of Ilford Galerie Pearl
a roll of an unknown, unmarked matte paper
two roll holder spindles
an extra maintenance tank (swap them back and forth and replace the sponges and you'll never need a new one)
and seven partially full ink cartridges.
Thanks for your interest!
