New Item! We found three different classically shaped pendants—all vintage--on a recent buying trip abroad. This one is a slender extended urn—a shape very familiar to the ancient Greeks. We estimate this piece was originally produced in the mid-19
th
century. We cast it in sterling silver in our studio and applied some antiquing to highlight the design. This is our special D-Ox silver, which resists tarnish up to 10x longer than standard silver. The silver has a nice satin sheen and shows the detail of the beading well. Above each, we added a bi-color (light & dark)amethyst bead and silver earwires attached to a beaded cup holding a small pearl. This is hollow in back, which makes for a very light earring that swings and sways as you move. Earring measures 2 ¼ inches long.
