USA Scott #854 (x2 - pair) stamps tied by April 30, 1939 New York  First Day of Issue machine cancel and 'Tin Can Mail' handstamp on inward FDC sent from 'Fletcher Costume Company of Providence, Rhode Island via Nuju'alofa (June 5, 1939) to Niuafo'ou with June 17, 1939 receiver. 48 Days in transit. This cover was probably pre-addressed and sent under separate cover to the USA where he stamps were affixed for a First Day Cover.  Very scarce!!
Sent 1930, opened at all sides for exhibit purposes, light general wear & toning.  Very Fine as is condition.
