Victorian Girls Black Plush Velvet Red Trim Winter Carriage Bonnet Hat
This antique Victorian era girls black plush velvet red trim winter carriage bonnet hat dates from the 1890s. It is made of a black plush heavy velvet fabric with red trim edging accents. This charming girls young womans winter bonnet would have been worn for travel in a sled or carriage and has a puffed back crown, front brim both edged in red cotton trim with matching tie straps for securing under the chin, a red silk ribbon bow trim on the side and is fully lined in a white cotton fabric inside. The bonnet measures 11 inches tall, 6 inches deep and 16 inches around the front face opening. It is in good condition with only a few faint small stains on the inside lining. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Victoriana winter wearable millinery art!
